New Home Association, Yau Tsim Mong Multicultural Activity Centre (MAC) together with Multicultural Ethnic-Link Teen Centre (M.E.L.T) are hosting “MAC x M.E.L.T Job Fair – Construction Industry” today (13 Mar 2021), from 2pm to 5pm at MAC. We are delighted to have Hon Vincent CHENG Wing-shun, member of Legislative Council, visited the job fair this afternoon as the honorable guest of the event.

New Home Association-Racial Diversity Employment Programme (RDEP) Team as the co-organizer of the Job Fair, liaise all the participating employers and arrange setting-up all the booths at the same time to promote the RDEP. In addition, RDEP team took a chance to promote employment of EMs and build up a network of employers in the construction industry at the event, with a purpose to explore more job opportunities for EM job seekers in the field.

The Job Fair saw a record of 6 employers participated and presented their job vacancies on-site, attracting more than 60 EM job seekers who visited the job fair. A large number of vacancies from the construction industry are canvassed for EM job seekers to apply. Employers displayed job openings and company information, followed with receiving job applications and conducting recruitment interviews on the spot.

The Racial Diversity Employment Programme (RDEP) under the Labour Department, New Home Association aims to support unemployed ethnic minority job seekers’ career development and promote a multicultural and inclusive workplace. NHA offers a wide range of one-stop employment support services for ethnic minority job seekers to match the suited employers looking for ethnic minority staff.

The Programme (RDEP) team will regularly stage job fairs, open to more companies looking for EM employees and the EM community seeking job opportunities.
